Carissa’s Wierd
mp3: They’ll Only Miss You When You Leave
Dear Carissa’s Wierd (sic),
I swear I am not sad. I am just tired. I feel pressed beneath all of the pressures that I have placed on myself. Insomuch, that I am incapable of normal human relationships. Incapable of giving a piece of myself that I have somehow sectioned off, the part that I have consecrated to the study of media theory, and computer mediated communication. The irony being, that it is the process through which I communicate my tiredness now.
I know I have divulged much, but you guys are in a band— albeit a band that is now sadly broken up before I could recognize its greatness—you understand what being tired is all about. Somehow from this song I can tell that. But I think somehow this song may also be about sadness. And I really don’t think that I am sad.
Thanks,
Rob
