Dear Maritime,
I don’t want to be a guy that remembers the old days, but remember the old days? They were really great weren’t they. But today is also exciting and new and malleable, so that is cool as well.
So in the spirit of remembering the old days, I recently saw you guys play at kilby court. I had heard Glass Floor a few times, and thought it to be somewhat satisfactory. But really, I went to the show with the picture of many Promise Ring shows in my head, and hoped somehow to recapture that image of Davey dancing and playing “Red and Blue Jeans”.
And let me say you delivered magnificently, despite the fact that all the songs sounded kind of the same — the only caveat being that the one song is the happiest, poppiest thing you have ever heard.
